Patient Services


Billing:
Patients are billed for an item at the time of delivery. Charges for services include professional time, technical time, cost of materials and equipment used. Many of our items are custom-made to meet the needs of each individual patient. A reasonable number of adjustment visits, follow-up and post-delivery visits are included in the price of the items.

CareCredit Program:
New, lower merchant fee on the 6 month No Interest** (if paid within 6 months, minimum monthly payments required) Payment plan (from 6.9% to 5.9%).

CareCredit has waived the minimum transaction amount on the 6 Month No Interest *** (if paid within 6 months, minimum monthly payments required) Payment Plan. Now we offer patients of having 6 months to pay their balance with no interest and a $0 minimum, while paying a 5.9 merchant fee.

12 Month NO INTEREST** ( if paid within 12 months, minimum monthly payments required) and 18 Month NO INTEREST ( if paid within 18 months, minimum monthly payments required) Payment Plan.

For patients who prefer more time to pay, the merchant fee on the 24, 36, 48 and 60 Month Extended Payment Plans will remain at a low 5%!

Insurance:
It is recommended that patients check with their insurance company as to whether or not an orthotic or prosthetic item will be covered. The patient is responsible for determining their coverage. For Workman's Compensation or auto-related injuries, Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc. must obtain prior authorization before patient is seen.

To patients with a state funded insurance program (i.e., Crippled Children's or Medicaid): State regulations require that prior approval be received from the state before any type of work is started as prescribed by your physician. At the time prior approval is given an appointment will be scheduled for you. Please be assured that everything possible is done to expedite the approval process. If you have questions about the prior approval requirement, please contact the case manager in your region.
